Local Art

The city of Flagstaff has a first Friday art walk, every month. When we lived downtown we went almost every month. Since moving to the suburbs we have not made it as often. We found some fun local screen prints that work well in the half bath.

Here is what the two pieces looked like when we bought them.

I picked a blue that matched both pictures and then some black frames.

I used my handy paper cutter to make nice clean lines.

I also used the frames as a guide for the paper size.

My paper cutter doing the job...

Next was making the artwork the same size, again using the paper cutter.

I used black corner mounters to adhere the artwork to the blue paper, making sure to not use any permanent adhesive. This way the artwork is some what in its original state, minus my paper trimming.

I decided to put the artwork off centered in opposite corners.

Then I used the black mounting corners to adhere the artwork on to the blue paper.

Next is putting them in the frames.

Now on the wall the go...

We have another local artist painting on the other wall.  It is nice to have some local art to hang in our new home.
